AN intrepid cyclist is riding 200 miles in one day in memory of his mum.

David Evans, from Winsford, is embarking on his gruelling challenge on Sunday, September 8 to thank St Luke's Hospice for the tender loving care they gave his mum.

His justgiving page has already raised £1,260.

David said: “Some years ago, my mum became ill with terminal cancer, there was absolutely nothing that could be done for her.

“She suffered terribly but the fantastic staff at St Luke's Hospice did all they could to make the rest of her days as bearable as they could.

“Not a day goes by without me thinking of her so I just wanted to raise some much-needed funding for this special place.

“If they can put the money to looking after people how they looked after my mum then the 200 gruelling miles will be worth every pedal stroke.”
