A TEENAGER has been threatened at knifepoint while riding his bike through Sankey Valley Park.

The 16-year-old boy was travelling on the footpath near to Lodge Lane on Sunday at 6.48pm when he was attacked.

He was approached by two youths on one bike coming from the direction of Lockton Lane who threatened him with a knife.

After refusing to hand over his belongings, he was punched in the face and his wallet was stolen.

The teenager who used the knife is described as a white male, approximately 17 years old and around five foot seven.

He was wearing a dark grey zipped-up hooded jumper with the hood up, black tracksuit bottoms and black woolly gloves and he spoke with a slight Liverpudlian accent.

He was riding was a black and red mountain bike.

The boy who assaulted the victim is described as white with freckles on his face, believed to be 17years old and slightly taller than five foot seven.

He was wearing a black zip-up style top with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms.
