The road was closed for much of Thursday
A DRIVER was arrested after a three-vehicle crash closed a major road for most of Thursday.
The Daresbury Expressway was closed for several hours from 8.30am in both directions due to the accident between two cars and a motorbike.
A driver was arrested after the incident, which involved a blue Skoda and a silver Audi.
One patient was taken to Aintree Hospital with serious leg injuries and a further two were transferred to Warrington Hospital with the extent of their injuries unknown.
An air ambulance was also called.
