A man is in a serious condition after being abducted from a house in Airdrie.
The 59-year-old was involved in a disturbance within a house on Frew Street at around 12.30am on Monday before he was then forced into a dark-coloured car.
It is thought he was then driven over four miles to Rankin Crescent, Greengairs.
He was subsequently left on the road with serious injuries, and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Hospital staff have described his condition as serious but stable.
Police are appealing for any information regarding the incident, but say they have no description of the suspects.

Detective inspector Kenny Dalrymple of Coatbridge Police Station said: “There is no description of the suspects at this time however we are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and to trace the vehicle involved and its occupants.
"Officers have been speaking to people in both areas and are viewing CCTV footage to gather more information.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Frew Street, Airdire and Rankin Crescent, Greengairs between 12.15am and 1.30am on Monday morning, who may have seen anything suspicious to contact us as soon as possible.”
