ESTATE agent manager Andrew Rogers and his team have received numerous compliments for their winning floral display.

Gascoigne Halman, an estate agent with 20 branches across east Cheshire, south Manchester and the High Peak, held an office-wide In Bloom competition, encouraging branches to get creative with flowers, plants and decorations.

The competition was very stiff, and the Knutsford branch took the top spot.

Branch manager Andrew Rogers said: “The team and I are delighted to have won the Gascoigne Halman In Bloom award.

“We loved how bright and welcoming the office looked and received lots of compliments from customers and passers-by.”

Inspiration for the office-wide competition came from the Britain in Bloom competition, which is recognised across the UK as a symbol of excellence in community gardening, strong community spirit and pride of place.

Each office was given a budget of £100 to make their outside space look as beautiful as possible, using their budget in whichever way they wanted.

Managing director John Halman said: “When judging the competition I visited all 20 branches, and enjoyed looking at the way in which each office made their branch a credit to the towns and villages in which they are situated.

“Without exception, every office has said how local people have made comments as to how their displays have improved the appearance of their location and made us stand out from the crowd.

“The judges and I decided the overall winner was Knutsford, but it was a difficult decision. Well done to everyone on such a fantastic competition.”

The competition was so successful the estate agent is looking to roll it out again next year.
