KATY Stonehouse and Jemima Laniada made the grade in their A level exams at Withington Girls School.
Katy, from Knutsford, and Jemima, from Goostrey, each achieved three A grades, contributing to the school’s attainment which saw almost half of this year’s cohort earning all A* and As and 93 per cent of grades recorded as A* to B.
Katy, who has a Grade 8 in music and is a tennis coach in her spare time, is looking forward to attending Liverpool University to study veterinary science, and Jemima, a keen lacrosse player, is going to read geography at St Andrews.
Nine girls have earned places at Oxford and Cambridge, along with four 2018 leavers who will also start their Oxbridge studies in September after receiving confirmed offers earlier in the year.
“We are privileged to be able to celebrate the achievements of this exceptional group of young women as they move onto the next stage of their life with self-assurance, confidence and excitement,” said headmistress Sarah Haslam.
