RECRUITMENT agency colleagues Kyle Williams and Angus McCormick are to take on an epic 210-mile cycle challenge in only three days.

Kyle and Angus work for Leap29, a global recruitment agency in Wilmslow, and will be cycling from London to the offices to raise money for East Cheshire Hospice.

Kyle said: “We thought the cycle challenge would be a fantastic way to raise awareness for the amazing support the hospice provides within our area.

“Cycling 210 miles over just three days is going to be a challenge, but the support we have received from friends and family will hopefully give us the push we need to get to the finish line.

“At some point in our lives the majority of us will have to deal with someone close to us going through end of life care.

“East Cheshire Hospice provides care, comfort and compassionate to patients and their loved ones to support families through this process.

“All of their services are provided free of charge to those who need them. However, only 17 per cent of their funding is from the Government, so it is heavily reliant on donations and fundraising.”

On Wednesday, August 28 Kyle and Angus will be kicking off their cycle challenge in London, travelling to all the major landmarks, including Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, London Eye, Downing Street and Buckingham Palace.

Over the next three days they will be travelling through some of England’s major cities, including Watford, Luton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Cannock, Stoke and Macclesfield to visit East Cheshire Hospice before finishing at the Leap29 office.

Angus said: “We’ve never taken on a challenge like this before, but we hope through our endurance training we will be able to complete the 210 miles over the three days with no major problems.

“East Cheshire Hospice provides such amazing support through a really hard time in life, so even if the money we raise helps support one person, it will be worth it.”

They have raised £305 towards their £1,000 target, and anyone who would like to support them can visit justgiving.com/fundraising/londontoleap29
