THE Village Fair at the Victoria Club in Holmes Chapel was a huge success, with the sun greeting many visitors throughout the day.

More than 50 stallholders attended with their array of hand-made crafts and produce, artists brought their creative wares and local organisations and community groups, including Holmes Chapel Partnership, the parish council, HC WI, Home Grown showcasing their latest projects and news.

The Guides, Scouts and Bridge the Gap ran a Community Café and Dane Sound Radio provided music and announcements.

Local musician Scott Edwards sang live, and the popular Tug of War was enjoyed by many.

The Victoria Club barbecue and bar proved extremely popular, as did the funfair rides for all ages.

The Village Fair Committee thanked everyone involved, including all the stallholders, activities and entertainers, the Viking Explorer Scouts for helping to set up and all those who visited and supported it on the day.
