STAFF at the Kinderton Hotel decided to use the hotel as a drop of point for donations to those affected by the Beechmere Care Home fire.

A post on the hotel’s Facebook page on Friday, August 9 said: “Many of you will have heard the terrible news about Beechmere Care Home residents in Crewe last night and 150 of them have been left with nothing following the devastating fire.

“We will be using The Kinderton as a drop off point for any clothes, toiletries, walkers, walking frames and literally anything else you think will be useful to these people that have lost everything.

“We will be driving your kind donations over to the Lifestyle Centre in Crewe about 6pm today.”

A just giving page has also been set up for those affected and has raised almost £30,000 for the home.
