SAM Taylor was fastest in the 2019 Weaver Valley Cycling Club 50-mile time trial championships.
A new victor, he stopped the clock in a personal-best 1:56.04 after completing a modified course near Goostrey last weekend as part of the latest Manchester and District Time Trial Association event.
He battled wet, muddy conditions and a strong wind to dip below a previous milestone by more than two minutes.
Andy Milligan was second in 1:59.50 with Emily Martin third in 2:08.23 - another lifetime best for the distance.
The Northwich club's contingent was completed by Dan Robson (2:14.40), Lynsey Astles (2:16.52) and Carol Robson (2:19.36), the latter claiming the handicap prize.
Weaver Valley also topped the time-sheet in the women's team standings.
Ben Stead (ABC Centreville) was the pick of the field in 1:47.52, while Claire Harrison (Pro Vision) edged Martin for the women's title in 2:07.43.
Kevan Underhill was in action during the opening round of the Super 4 Series at Pimbo, classifying seventh in the over 50s race.
The Weaver Valley member joined several attempts to break clear, all thwarted, before a sprint for the line decided who finished on the podium.
Andy Bennett (Onimpex Bioracer) took first prize, while Underhill was runner-up among the over 60s in the field.
