WARRINGTON Wolves forward Jack Hughes will fly back from France today, Monday, after rupturing his testicle in Saturday's defeat to the Catalans Dragons.

The Wire co-captain suffered the injury half way through the first half, two minutes after Chris Hill and Michael McIlorum were sent to the sin-bin, and played on – remarkably playing the full game.

The England Knights star now faces a race against time to be fit for the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley later in the month.

Former Wire prop Paul Wood suffered a similar injury in the 2012 Grand Final when Wire lost to Leeds at Old Trafford.
