AN afternoon tea party is being held to raise funds for a mental health charity.
Sarah Gell, from Winsford, is hosting the event to support Mid Cheshire Mind.
"I've chosen Mind because I think that work needs to be done to remove the stigma that's still associated with mental health illnesses," said Sarah, 41, who works as a risk analyst in financial services for the Bank of America in Chester.
"I have suffered with depression for a number of years and while attitudes are changing, work still needs to be done.
"I moved to Winsford a year ago and love the community feel the place has."
Sarah will be serving a selection of cakes and sandwiches at Meadowbank Social Club on Sunday, August 25.
The event is called Tea for Two, Don't Mind If I Do.
"Baking is a passion," added Sarah. "My grandma used to bake with me and my sisters when we were growing up."
Sandwiches, scones, jam, cream and a selection of cake bites, with tea or coffee, for two people is £10 a ticket.
A junior version is available for £7.
