KNUTSFORD Town Council is inviting residents to nominate gardens for the 2019 Knutsford Front Garden Competition.

The competition, organised by the council in 2019, encourages residents to get involved with the In Bloom campaign and show off their own beautiful front gardens or nominate a neighbour.

The competition is open to any garden on view to the public, and anything can be nominated from window boxes to large landscaped gardens.

Residents are encouraged to snap a photo of their favourite front gardens and enter them into the competition by emailing the picture to the council.

Residents can nominate their own gardens, a neighbour’s garden or a garden they have passed.

The competition has again been sponsored by Fryer’s Garden Centre on Manchester Road, which will be providing prizes for the three winners.

The competition will be judged by the Town Mayor with representatives from Knutsford in Bloom and Fryer’s.

“Whether you’re proud of your own garden or think your neighbour’s efforts have been paying off all you need to do is send us a picture to enter it,” said town clerk Adam Keppel-Green.

“It’s a fun, local competition focused on recognising the spaces that brighten people’s days.”

The competition will be open for one month until Friday, August 16. To enter send a photograph and the address of the garden to alex.brown@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk.

You can enter as many gardens as you like, and you can also submit entries in person to the council offices on Toft Road.
