SALTER’S Den, Northwich and Winsford’s own version of Dragon’s Den, is back again and new entries are now being accepted, with new start-up businesses set to benefit from much-needed help.

The competition is looking for an entrepreneur or new business start-up in the Northwich and Winsford area that is worthy of winning a prize of £2,500 and on-going expert advice.

The competition opened yesterday, and entries can be submitted online.

The competition joins local businesses Howard Worth Chartered Accountants and Mosshaselhurst Solicitors with NatWest Bank and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The winner will receive a £2,500 cash prize as well as one year’s free business advice and support from Howard Worth and legal mentoring from Mosshaselhurst. There are also rewards for second and third place. Second place will receive six months support and mentoring and third place three months.

The competition is open to any entrepreneur or new business started on or after the January 1, 2018, trading in the Northwich and Winsford areas in post code areas CW7, CW8 and CW9.

If you have an innovative business idea or own a business that has been operating for less than a year, apply now for your chance to be a winner of the Salters’ Den competition.

The judges will be inviting successful entrants into the Salters’ Den in November, where they will be holding panel interviews to determine the worthy winner of the 2019 competition.
