A PRIME development site in Wilmslow has sold for £1.3 million.
Real estate advisory business Avison Young has completed the sale of the site of a former care home in Wilmslow on behalf of the administrators.
The sale realised a price of £1.3million for the 0.58-acre site off Adlington Road following strong interest.
Known as Hillside, the site, which includes a 6,108 sq ft two-storey property one mile from Wilmslow Railway Station, has been bought by a local developer on an unconditional basis and is expected to be redeveloped for residential use.
Sholom Cohen from Avison Young said: “Development opportunities like the one presented at Hillside arise rarely in the current market, so we were confident we would achieve a premium price deserving of such a site.
“It is a fantastic semi-rural location and we expect high quality redevelopment plans to come forward in due course, giving the site a new lease of life.”
Adlington Road is characterised by a mixture of large detached private homes, as well as low-rise apartments.
