THERE are a number of scheduled roadworks in the town and surrounding area over the next two weeks which are likely to cause delays for residents.
Delays are to be expected in School Lane, Occleston, until July 24 due to traffic calming works.
Works by BT to install fibre optic cabling will cause delays on St Ann’s Road and Sutton Lane from July 26 to July 30.
There will also be delays on Sutton Lane from August 2 to August 9 due to works by Scottish Power to repair a rotten overhead pole.
BT will be installing fibre optic cables in Booth Lane, near the King’s Lock, from July 25 to July 29 and delays are likely on Holmes Chapel Road, near the Boars Head, on July 29.
