BARONS Quay Social will open its doors on Friday, August 2, owners have confirmed.

The much-anticipated bar, food market and events space is promising a host of live music, sport, events and more.

Confirming the opening date, the team behind the venture is also keen to meet with groups and organisations looking for a flexible space to meet and deliver activities.

The specially-designed mezzanine level will host live music acts as well as offering a high-profile performance space for schools and other Northwich-based groups.

Another impressive feature will be the rooftop terrace, which will also be made available for community groups to use for anything from yoga classes to new mums’ get-togethers.

A flower wall and dedicated bar area are also included, and the space will be used for year-round events including weddings, corporate socials and exclusive hire.

Owner Carl Thomas said: “We can’t wait to open the doors on August 2.

"The team have worked hard to make sure that everything from the bar, interiors and food stalls to the roof terrace and bespoke artwork celebrating the local Cheshire countryside looks exactly as we envisaged and we’re looking forward to showing the place off now to guests from across the region.

“The council has been a great-support during the development phase so it’s over to us now to give the people of Northwich a leisure, entertainment and community hub they can be really proud of.”

The building backs onto the Wildwood and will count Odeon as a neighbour, with the roof terrace overlooking Weaver Point and the River Weaver.

Cheshire West and Chester Council cabinet member for regeneration, Cllr Richard Beacham, said: “We are really looking forward to Barons Quay Social opening its doors to the people of Northwich.

"This new venue will bring a whole new offer to Barons Quay and this is really exciting.
