WEAVERHAM Forest Pre-School is moving to a new home at Weaverham Primary Academy.

Chair of Trustees Jenny Marshall, who has run the highly-rated pre-school for more than a decade, is moving, along with her team of staff, to new state-of-the-art facilities at the Northwich Road school later this year.

Jenny said: “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to develop our provision for the children of this village.

“Our amazing and talented staff are all part of the move, which will ensure we continue to provide the highest possible standard of care and early years education within an ideal, modern environment.”

The pre-school, currently rated Outstanding by Ofsted, will now move to new premises featuring a dedicated space for two-year-olds, a sensory room and free-flow access to the garden and outside learning areas.

Three and four-year-olds will benefit from a bespoke role play area, a reading area and equipment designed to encourage independent learning and discovery.

All children will have access to the outdoor area, a bikes and trikes track and forest school, while flexible opening and closing times will be offered to help accommodate parents’ schedules.

Fiona Whittaker, executive headteacher at both Weaverham Primary Academy and Oak View Academy in Winsford, said: “We opened a pre-school at Oak View last year, and we’ve already seen how beneficial that extra time in a learning environment can be for children.

“We’ve seen children’s social, language and basic motor function skills improve significantly, and they are provided with a solid foundation for their education.

“That’s why we are delighted offer children at Weaverham the same benefits, and having such a wonderful and established organisation to lead the way is extremely pleasing.”
