A FUN-FILLED day promises to keep families entertained at Darnhall Show on Sunday.

The showground at Court House Farm on Swanlow Lane opens from 10am to 4pm.

A farmer's market, craft, charity and shopping stalls will offer a selection of fresh produce, hand crafted items and bargains.

Live entertainment will be performed in the main ring all day.

A rose queen and retinue will parade around the showground.

Vintage tractors and wagons, classic cars and Grenson motors will be on display.

Show organiser Sue Langley said: "We aim to make the event a family fun day.

"This will be our fifth show and all money raised will go towards the renovation and improvement of Darnhall Village Hall, which is well supported by the local community and the surrounding area."

Visitors can browse round the competition show tents and see a selection of baking, crafts, floral art and photographs.

There will be children and adult classes.

A Ju Jitsu demonstration will be held and Darnhall Dancers will be performing.

A fun dog show will be held. Owners are invited to bring their pets along on the day. It is limited to the first 50 dogs.

Goody bags and prizes will be awarded to the overall winner.

Sharland funfair are among the many other attractions.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service will be staging a demonstration. Reaseheath College will be showcasing their work.

Darnhall Guides will be serving home made cakes and teas.

Grants butchers will have a selection of meat.

A barbecue will offer a feast of food and a bar and gin bar will be hosted by Star Pub.

Admission is £3 adults and children under 16 go free.

Free parking is available.
