With possible temperatures of up to 28 degrees on Saturday, the many beautiful and serene beer gardens around the Northwich area will be a hive of summer activity this weekend.

The Stanley Arms 

The large beer garden at The Stanley Arms in Old Road, Anderton, sits on the pub's former bowling green. 

The decked terrace was built as part of a £169,000 refurbishment in 2017 and overlooks the Trent and Mersey Canal near to the Anderton Boat Lift.

One reviewer said: "I look forward to going again soon, from experience, summer in the beer garden is always relaxing and enjoyable."

Holly Bush Inn 

The Holly Bush Inn, off the A49 Warrington Road, is Cheshire's last remaining farm house pub.

Dating back to the 1600s, it once operated on a working farm and served the villagers of Bartington. Now, families flock to the pub during the summer months to enjoy the beer garden and bouncy castle. 

One reviewer said: "This is lovely pub, the beer is good, and the atmosphere is great, and food good value, and very nice. It is always nice to come in summer as has great beer garden, and free bouncy castle in beer garden for kids."

The Kingfisher

The Kingfisher in Kingsmead Square is popular with families around Kingsmead and has a climbing area for kids in the beer garden. 

One reviewer said: "The beer garden is the best for miles around and is always buzzing when the sun shines. No lie when I say that this pub is the reason I won’t move away from Northwich."

The Three Greyhounds Inn 

The Three Greyhounds Inn on Holmes Chapel Road, Allostock, is a traditional country pub.

It's dog friendly, serves craft ales from local breweries and has a beautiful beer garden for the summer.

One reviewer said: "We we're recommended to visit here by friends and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed a sunny sunday afternoon listening to live music in their beer garden."

Bells of Peover

As one of the top-rated pub restaurants in Cheshire, The Bells of Peover in The Cobbles in Lower Peover, is busy all year round. But when it comes to summer, it's large landscaped gardens that surround the pub make it a perfect palce to spend the afternoon. 

One reviewer said: "If you catch The Bells of Peover on a sunny day, you will be struck by just how beautiful this pub and gardens really are. Needless to say there is a top notch beer garden, with plenty of space for outside dining."

Red Lion

The Red Lion in Park Lane, Pickmere, has an external landscaped seating area, with a children’s playground, which is a big hit with families in the village.

One reveiwer said: "Lovely country pub, great food and good choices on the menu. With some lovely specials. Friendly helpful staff. great decor and lovely beer garden for the summer."

Fishpool Inn 

Being so close to Delamere Forest, The Fishpool Inn in Fishpool Road is the perfect place to finish off a long walk, with its huge beer garden and highly-rated food. 

One reviewer said: "Love every detail, from the boat on the ceiling to the seats, and the lights! So many quirky details that just give such a great atmosphere! The beer garden is just as well done!"

Hayhurst Arms 

Formerly the Bostock Green Village Social Club, this pub was given a new lease of life when it opened as the Hayhurst Arms in 2014.

Since then, it's become a firm favourite among people in Northwich, Winsford and Middlewich, especially in the summer due to the beer garden now overlooking the old village green. 

One reviewer said: "The setting of the Hayhurst being on the village green makes it just a little different. Not least as it gives one somewhere nice to walk down the lovely meals."
