MOTORISTS heading between Ledsham and Hooton are being urged to take alternative routes after a lorry spilt its load of sand and stones.
The incident was reported to Cheshire police at 2.06pm on Wednesday, June 26 and the latest report was that, over two hours later, the lorry's load had been sorted but there was still rubble blocking the A550 Welsh Road in both directions.
Traffic is said to be snarled up in both directions, with longer delays on the northbound side of the road, and motorists are advised to follow diversions as directed by police.
