Eleanor was diagnosed with an aggressive autoimmune disease when she was only 19, relying on chemotherapeutic drugs and daily morphine to survive.

But, despite excruciating pain and temporary disability, she never gave up hope.

After having a titanium hip fitted, she landed her dream job as a photographer.

She pledged to do all she can to help save young lives.

"I suffered with depression so I can understand what young people are going through," said Eleanor, whose family comes from Winsford. "If I'd have kept going I might not still be here. I was lucky because I came out the other side but not everyone does.

"I want to let people know that it doesn't matter what battles you face, you can empower yourself through to achieve anything.

"I've had four bad years of life. I was at the point of resigning myself to the fact that I was going to be disabled and couldn't do anything.
