A NORTHWICH man has suffered a broken eye socket following an incident in Frodsham. 

Detectives are appealing for information and footage from members of the public following the altercation, which took place on Sunday.

The incident involving a group of people occurred at around 12.25am on Sunday, June 16. It began outside the Costa Coffee shop on Church Street and continued outside The Cholmondeley Arms.

A number of people suffered facial injuries as a result of the incident, four of whom were taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

One man involved was a 26-year-old from Northwich who sustained a fractured eye socket.

A 37-year-old man from Frodsham also suffered a broken jaw.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened, or has any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.

They also want to speak to anyone with information regarding four men and a woman who are believed to have instigated the altercation.

DC Rebecca Lawson said: “This is believed to have been an isolated incident.

“We are determined to establish the full circumstances of what took place, identify who was responsible and make them face the consequences of their actions.
