KIDS With Cameras, a Knutsford-based after school club, has launched the dates for its summer 2019 workshops.

The week of outdoor workshops will teach children photography skills, in particular how to use a DSLR camera, as well as life skills, such as team-building, creative thinking and building confidence.

The workshops will be led by Julie Whelan, a professional photographer who specialises in family, children and pet portraits, as well as event photography and professional headshots.

The week of photography workshops begins on July 29, and

is an opportunity for children aged eight to 13 to learn about photography and associated skills.

The two-hour sessions will run in the mornings from Monday to Friday.

Julie, a part-time assistant at Bexton Primary School and mum of three girls said: “The curious children on my family photo shoots and my own children's interest made me realise how much kids love photography and are quick to learn.

“These workshops are a great way for children to build a variety of vital life skills while having fun, and also to give parents a free couple of hours over the hectic summer holidays.”

The workshop is open to all children aged eight to 13, regardless of past experience. Classes are £25 per child.
