SUSPECTED gang members were arrested in a hot tub after a gun was found in the Village Hotel.

Cheshire Police arrested three men at the Centre Park hotel at around 10am yesterday, Tuesday, over their alleged involvement in serious and organised crime.

The trio were all held on suspicion of possession of a firearm following the discovery of a weapon in the hotel – with one also being arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

And three men have since been charged in relation to the incident.

Twenty-three-year-old Kane Birch, from Manchester, has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin and being in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Dean Murphy, aged 20 and of no fixed address, has been charged with being in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

And 24-year-old Macauley Peacock, also from Manchester, was charged with being in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

All three are due to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court in connection with these charges this morning, Wednesday.

Sources reported that two of the men were arrested in the Village Hotel’s Jacuzzi.

A force spokesman said: “At around 10am on Tuesday, June 25, officers from Cheshire Police arrested three men at a hotel in Warrington in connection with serious and organised crime.

“Three men have been charged with drugs and firearm offences.

“All have been remanded into custody and will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 26.”
