The road will be closed for six months
A MAJOR town centre road will be closed overnight for the next six weeks.
Work started to resurface Liverpool Road and Sankey Way yesterday, Monday.
The roadworks are taking place between the traffic signals at the Pink Eye Roundabout and the junction at Parker Street/Crosfield Street with the roads, and side roads, being closed between 7 pm and 1 am.
All roads will be open outside these times according to the council.
The signed diversion route will be Parker Street, Wilson Patten Street, Bridge Foot, Mersey Street, Fennel Street, Brick Street, Midland Way, Froghall Lane, Priestley Street and vice versa.
