MIDDLEWICH Fire Station is opening its doors to the public this weekend for a free family event that promises something for all ages.

There will be a range of activities offering fun for all the family at the fire station on Civic Way from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 15 June.

Jon Caulfield, station manager, said: "This is a great way for the community to discover more about their local fire station and learn about some of the work we undertake.

“The team will be doing operational demonstrations throughout the day to keep visitors entertained, as well as showcasing the aerial ladder plaform, plus much more.

“We would like as many people as possible to come along to the open day, have a great time and leave with some vital safety messages.”

As part of the event there’ll be a number of displays, including the chance to look round a variety of modern and vintage fire and rescue vehicles.

In addition, there will also be demonstrations by the Cheshire Fire Cadets, a climbing wall and a variety of community stands.

As always, the event is free to attend and refreshments will be available to buy throughout the day.
