THE Middlewich Additional Needs Network is hosting a fundraising event during FAB Festival in the founders Brooks Lane garden.

John Romero and Jackie Tranter, the founders of the support group, are set to turn their canalside garden into a coffeeshop for the duration of the festival.

John, a professional musician, said: “I’m just really hoping the weather is good for us.

“We should be ok because we already have two marquee tents up and I will be putting up another two before the festival.”

The event is in support of two charities. The first is Winston’s Wish which helps bereaved children and the second is their own support group which supports members of the community with additional needs.

John said: “We’ll have plenty of coffee on offer. If you walk into our kitchen now it looks like a Starbucks.

“We will have collection buckets but we don’t like going around the town shaking them for nothing. We have a lot of musicians playing so we like to provide a service to the community.”

The event is taking place in 39 Brooks Lane on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm and entry is free.
