CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service and Cheshire Police will be hosting an action-packed open day at their Winsford headquarters.

The event is free for all the community and it takes place between 11.30am and 4.30pm on Sunday, July 14.

There will be interactive displays and exhibitions that will give visitors the chance to see the complex nature of the work the emergency services do and how they work together to protect the community.

Staff from both services will be on hand to answer questions and give advice on staying safe and preventing crime.

Modern Police and Fire vehicles will be showcased and there will be displays in the main arena throughout the day. Police dogs will also be in attendance.

For children there will be free activities including face painting, a climbing wall, craft area. Refreshments, including hot and cold food, will also be available to buy.

The event is predominantly outdoors so visitors are advised to dress with the weather in mind.

Visitors need to ensure that each ticket is in the name of each individual attending.

Tickets cannot be ordered in bulk under one name. People without tickets will not be allowed into the event.

Tickets are named and adults are likely to be asked for a photo identification before admission to the event.

Bags, prams and persons may be subject to being searched prior to admission and it is recommended that large bags and rucksacks are not brought on site.

All persons, including young children and babies, will require named tickets.

Tickets will be available to book online from 12pm on Monday, June 17.
