MIDDLEWICH FAB Festival has received high-profile backing as the town prepares to welcome thousands of visitors to this year’s jam-packed event.

Organisers have announced that Jack's supermarket off Wheelock Street is the latest business to come onboard as a sponsor of this year’s 29th annual event taking place from June 13 to June 16.

Middlewich Town Council Events Manager Dave Thompson said: "The countdown is on and we can't wait to welcome thousands of visitors to Middlewich and to have the chance to showcase our fabulous town and waterways.

"We always want to go one better than the year before and with a host of top music acts and attractions lined up for 2019 we're hopeful this will be our best yet.

"This year we've received wonderful support from businesses in Middlewich and further afield, and we're delighted to add Jack's Supermarket to our list of sponsors.

"Their sponsorship is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to working with them in the future.

“We've also established a new new partnership with Shackleford Pianos who contacted us to see if they could come along and promote what they do.

"We came up with the idea of having the piano in the festival bar where people can come along and play. We'll film them all and the one with the most hits will be invited to come back and perform next year."
