ROAD safety was the first lesson of the day for children at St Barnabas CE Primary School.
Year one, two and three pupils enjoyed scooter training which taught them how to keep safe on their way to and from school.
The Collin Street pupils were joined by Lesley Paterson, the school travel advisor and PCSO Callum Jones who offered advice to the youngsters.
The school’s enthusiastic junior safety officers even helped support community police with keeping roads safe while encouraging children to choose the healthy option and walk to school instead of travelling in the car.
Everyone had a fun and informative day.
