AN action-packed programme of tasks and challenges is set to change the lives of ambitious young people.

Winsford's Prince's Trust is looking for anyone aged 16 to 25 who would benefit from a free 12-week personal development course.

The scheme, led by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, gives young people the chance to build their confidence and learn new skills.

Over three months, they embark on a series of qualifications, fulfil a range of goals and increase their self-esteem through working with others.

The course includes a two week work placement and helps young people to improve their communication skills, set and achieve goals, acquire job search skills and gain leadership qualities.

The group raises money for a community project and completes food hygiene, health and safety and first aid courses.

Fire awareness training, a driving safety course and a week-long team building event are also include.

The next team programme starts on Monday, May 27.

The scheme is open to young people up the age of 25 who are not in education, employment or training.
