A WAREHOUSE packed with pre-loved furniture and home furnishings to raise funds for St Luke's Hospice has doubled in size.

A bigger selection of donated items than ever before are now on display ranging from sofas, tables and wardrobes to cupboards, chairs and beds.

The spacious unit on Pineapple Road, Road One at Winsford Industrial Estate will be open over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Warehouse manager Simon Armitage said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to extend the sales area to offer a bigger and better range of second hand furniture at excellent prices. We’re already seeing lots of new customers coming through the door.

“The great thing about buying from St Luke’s is that you not only get a bargain, but you’re also helping to fund patient care at the Hospice too.

"So please call in, browse our stock and support your local hospice. Any furniture bought from the warehouse can be delivered for a very reasonable charge.

“The warehouse also needs donations of furniture to replenish stocks and staff can carry out house clearances, so please get in touch if you would like to donate items.”

The warehouse is open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

St Luke's Hospice, which celebrated its 30th birthday last year, is a charity funded by voluntary contributions and has to raise £8,152 each day to provide free care and support for local people.
