VICTORIA Park will be transformed into a music festival site over the bank holiday weekend.

Organisers from SJM Concerts say they are working with Warrington Borough Council and local authorities to ensure Neighbourhood Weekender is safe for concert-goers and residents who live nearby. Here is everything you need to know ahead of the event:

  • Gates will open on Saturday and Sunday at 12.30pm with the festival finishing at 10.30pm on both days.
  • Police have said that searches will be conducted on all festival-goers on entry.
  • You are not allowed to bring alcohol onto the site and any alcohol found during the searches will be confiscated.
  • There is no cover for the audience for some of the stages, so it is advised to take appropriate clothing for the expected weather conditions.
  • Counterfeit goods – festival-goers are advised to buy merchandise from official stands within the park, rather than from traders on surrounding streets.
  • A cleaning company will be on site throughout the event with a community impact team in place.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

CAR

Victoria Park is easily accessible from Warrington town centre on Knutsford Road. The festival will be clearly sign-posted. Parking will be very limited and organisers encourage the use of public transport where possible. The official car park will be at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School or use town centre car parks. Residential street park is not allowed.

FOOT

The park is around a 20 minute walk from Warrington Bank Quay station, Warrington Central train station or Golden Square shopping centre. There will be a pick up and drop off facility at the festival.

BUS

Number 11 and 11A bus services stop at Knutsford Road Victoria Park or it takes five minutes from Warrington Bus Interchange near Warrington Central train station.

TICKETS

Weekend and day pass tickets are still on sale and will be available up until the festival unless they sell out.

For best value tickets – without booking fees – pick them up in person at the Parr Hall box office.

So if you buy a weekend pass it will cost £105 rather than £119 and a day ticket will be £55 instead of £64 (based on the Gigs and Tours website prices).
