A NETBALL team and a cyclist have received welcome boosts from the Everybody Foundation.
The foundation is a charity which raises funds to support individuals and groups to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
Ladyhawks Netball Club near Holmes Chapel has received £380 to support it in developing its young volunteers into coaches, enabling them to use their skills and learning to support additional opportunities to develop in netball.
The funding will allow two volunteers to complete their coaching qualifications.
Adam Mitchell, a British cyclist from Holmes Chapel, has been awarded £500 to support his development.
Adam recently moved into the junior category, and in order to progress he will use the funding to buy a new bike, allowing him to compete at the highest level.
Peter Hartwell, chairman of the Everybody Foundation said: “We are delighted to have been able to support our local community, and we cannot wait to continue fundraising and being able to provide support to those who need it.”
