CHILDREN welcomed MP Antoinette Sandbach to Grange Community Nursery and Primary School.

The trip was inspired after pupils visited the Houses of Parliament in February and took part in an education workshop entitled Laws and debating. The youngsters also quizzed the Eddisbury MP about life as an MP during a question and answer session.

Pupils practised their formal letter writing skills after returning to school and each pupil thanked Mrs Sandbach personally for meeting them in Westminster.

The MP was given a guided tour of the Winsford school and spoke to pupils in each classroom.

In year three, children spoke about their key text Queen of the Falls and Mrs Sandbach told them about her visit to Niagara Falls.
