FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Countess of Chester Hospital yesterday following reports of a light fitting burning.
Two crews - from Ellesmere Port and Powey Lane - attended the scene on Liverpool Road at around 12.45pm on Wednesday, May 8.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters attended following reports of a light fitting burning at the Countess of Chester Hospital on Liverpool Road. The fire was out on arrival.
"Crews safely removed the light fitting and made sure that the fire had not spread. The burning is believed to have been caused by an overheated ballast."
