A DESSERT café is set to open in place of a former charity shop in Culcheth.
An application for planning permission has been lodged with Warrington Borough Council in order to convert the currently vacant premises at the Courtyard on Common Lane.
It is anticipated that the new café would create two full-time jobs.
In a statement submitted as part of the bid, application agent Jeffrey Goodchild said: "The unit has been empty for a while, and my clients want to use the unit as a café selling sweets and desserts."

A consultation on the plans runs until Tuesday, May 28.
