Stars Kiefer Sutherland and Ron Perlman spotted in Hoole Chinese restaurant

Kiefer Sutherland, star of hit show 24, and Ron Perlman (aka Hellboy) were happy to pose for pics with Nicky Wilson, her son Ben, dad David and stepmum Jean at The Shanghai on Sunday (April 28).

Kiefer even commended Nicky in her choice of food - beef in spring onion and ginger – as he had tucked into the same dish.

She told The Standard: “They were absolutely lovely, both so friendly. When we had the picture taken with Kiefer, he asked us our names and said Ben looked very smart in his outfit. When he'd finished his meal, we'd just been served and he came over to say goodbye and said the meal I had was a good choice as he'd just had it and it was delicious, which it was!”

Kiefer told her he had been in the restaurant on Saturday night and loved it so much he decided to bring Ron along on his return visit.

“He said he loves The Shanghai and said it's the best Chinese restaurant in the UK,” said Nicky.

“Ron had his picture taken with Ben and when they were leaving came over and fisted bumped him to say goodbye then had a picture taken with my dad. They seemed really relaxed and happy and totally casual.”

Before 24, Kiefer was best known for his starring roles in a succession of hit films in the 1980s including The Lost Boys, Stand By Me and Young Guns.

Ron played the title role in Guillermo del Toro’s two Hellboy movies before this year’s reboot, and starred in the hugely popular television series Sons of Anarchy.

Both were in the area alongside other celebrities such as Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen for the Wales Comic Con at Glyndwr University in Wrexham.
