A BINGO night in the Kinderton Hotel raised over £1,000 for a teenage cancer charity.
The event took place on Wednesday, April 17 and was organised by Mark Hudson, from Cheshire Gymnastics, who is fundraising in order to take part in the Summer Charity Ball in the Mere Golf Resort.
Mark said: “The parent association at the Grange Primary school is looking to raise money for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.
“To raise money I am taking part in a Strictly Come Dancing Event in the Mere Golf Resort this weekend.
“The idea of the event is to get ten people who have no dancing background into dancing and so I have been preparing for this for the last six weeks.
“My fundraising target was £2,000 and because the bingo night in the Kinderton raised £1,040 I have beaten my target.”
The Parent Association Strictly Come Dancing Charity Event takes place on Friday, April 26 from 7pm to 9.30pm in the Mere Golf Resort in Knutsford.
