SAINTS will be roared on by a travelling army of more than 5,500 fans as they travel to rivals Wigan for the traditional Good Friday derby fixture.

Justin Holbrook's side enter the Easter programme coming off the back of last week's impressive 38-12 triumph over Warrington to reclaim top spot.

Saints are to have what will be a record following in recent times to the DW Stadium to cheer them on as the side looks to claim its first Easter win in 'enemy territory' for 10 years.

The fixture is always a highlight of the season providing the passion, drama and excitement that form the usual ingredients of a Saints-Wigan clash, with the game expected to take place in glorious spring weather.

Meanwhile, Saints fans travelling to Wigan are urged to stick to their allocated seats for the match.

A statement from Saints said: "The club have sold a record 5,550 tickets for the match.

"With this in mind, Saints fans travelling over to the derby need to be aware of the allocated seating arrangements in place for the fixture.

"All tickets sold to Saints fans (in the North, East and West Stands) have been ‘allocated’, meaning each ticket has a specific seat attributed to it. The reason for this it is to allow more tickets to be sold in the North Stand at the DW Stadium, which, if designated as an un-allocated stand would have had its capacity reduced for Ground Safety reasons.

"This has therefore allowed a significant number of Saints fans to gain access to the North Stand that otherwise wouldn’t have been able to watch the match in this stand, adding to what will already be an incredible atmosphere!

"We urge and expect all Saints fans to adhere to the allocated seating arrangements and the Ground Regulations of the venue as a whole, for their own safety, comfort and enjoyment of the match.

"We would also recommend that any fans who have issues with seating on the day, to speak to a member of the DW Ground Safety team who are fully prepared along with Wigan Warriors for the seating arrangements."

Saints defeated Wigan 21-18 at home in last year's Good Friday encounter to end their Easter hoodoo and got the better of the Warriors in this season's opener back on January 31.
