A FUN-FILLED Easter trail is being held to raise funds for St Luke's Hospice.

Children who join in will receive bunny ears, a balloon and a goody bag.

Winsford mum Amy Stenström-Lafferty is organising a half-mile walk on Knights Grange field from 10.30am on Saturday, April 27.

Families are invited to bring a picnic and wear bright coloured clothes with an Easter theme.

St Luke's bear will be giving out chocolate as he leads the walk.

"It is a cause close to my heart," said Amy. "This is an amazing cause and they help out so many people. They’re an adult Hospice where people from all over Mid and South Cheshire can find a safe refuge during a difficult journey."

Amy be hiding little artificial Easter eggs so children can hunt for them.

"Easter bonnets are welcome," she said. "I hope families will come along with their picnics so we can have a lot of fun!"

Amy hosted a Big Toddle at the same place last year and raised more than £450 for Barnardo's.

"Me, my husband Liam and daughter Amelie invited friends and family and it got bigger than I expected so I thought I'd do it again this year for St Luke's."

To take part, there is a charge of £2.50 per adult and £1.50 for children and babies.

Families are being asked to register.

"I need definite numbers as I am arranging for each child to receive a certificate, medal, cake and balloon and would hate for anyone to be left out," said Amy.

Facepainter Sarah Pearce is coming and there will be fun activities in the pub.

Amy's employer Costco in Chester has donated goody bags and balloons.

Big-hearted businesses have donated lots of raffle prizes including an aquaplant, beauty treatment vouchers, family passes to Crocky Trail, Flip Out and Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre.

Tickets priced £1 will be on sale.

Kerry Mundy, landlady of Knights Grange pub is providing a room for the community event.
