MIDDLEWICH Leisure Centre is running free sessions on Sunday, May 5.

The free sessions are to celebrate Everybody Sport and Recreation’s fifth year as a trust.

The recent Active People’s survey showed that Cheshire East was the most active area of the North West.

The trust wants to continue helping more people become active and aim to encourage people to come down to the fitness day to try what we have to offer for free.

Peter Hartwell, CEO of Everybody Sport and Recreation, said: “We are delighted to be opening our doors to for anyone to come and use our facilities.

“We believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to be active – and we hope that we can encourage more people to become active long term by giving them the opportunity to try what we offer for free.”

Middlewich Leisure Centre will be running free tennis sessions from 9am to 5pm, a family fun session will start at 9am and end at 6pm and fitness sessions will start from 1pm.

There will also be a military boot camp from 1pm to 2pm.
