PICTURES have been revealed showing how the transformed Rainhill Hall and its grounds will feature tree houses, lakeside cabins and a tree-lined wedding venue.

Liverpool-based heritage developer, Signature Living, is behind the makeover of the site, also known as Loyola Hall, which was formerly a retreat for the Society of Jesuits.

St Helens Star:

There will be a partial launch of the venue in August ahead of lakeside log cabins being completed by the end of 2019.

So far the developer has taken more than 75 booking for weddings

Katie Kenwright, co-founder of Signature Living, said: “Our ambitious plans for Rainhill Hall will see the beautiful grounds transformed into a magical wedding and events space, helping to create a show-stopping experience.

St Helens Star:

“The hall itself, which has been left empty for five years, will be lovingly restored not only to give the building a new lease of life, but to provide luxury accommodation which will help bring in much needed tourism.

“I believe a living wall, together with Hansel and Gretel style log cabins, will ensure Rainhill becomes one of the UK’s top destinations to tie the knot.”

St Helens Star:

The building, located off Warrington Road in Rainhill, has a history stretching back to 1824 when it was built by landowner Bartholomew Bretherton.
