The releases range from limited editions to previously unheard tracks, and picture or coloured vinyls to alternative artwork.

Electric Church in Winsford is the only store taking part in the mid Cheshire region, and last year saw eager collectors queueing outside the Over Square shop ready for it to open.

To lend a hand to music fans on the hunt for a special vinyl this Record Store Day, Electric Church owner Jimi Coppack has collated his list of top 10 releases, which can be found in his shop tomorrow.

1. 13th Floor Elevators - Psychedelic Sounds Of (1966) 180g Picture Disc.

Northwich Guardian:

This edition of 'The Psychedelic Sounds of...' features the mono mix on picture disc vinyl using the original artwork, which was recently chosen by National Album Day as one of the best 70 album sleeves of all time, and best sleeve from 1966.

The ground-breaking debut from 1966 lays claim to be the first psychedelic rock album and is certainly the first to use the word 'psychedelic'.

Known for founder Tommy Hall' s use of the electric jug and Roky Erickson' s emotive singing of Hall' s poetic lyrics, the band influenced music as we know it, including material from legends such as the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin.

2. Dragonfly - Dragonfly (1968)

Northwich Guardian:

Originally issued in October 1968, this deranged blend of acid rock and proto-metal is widely regarded as one of the heaviest albums ever made up to that point.

It's presented in its definitive version here, complete with rare photographs, two bonus tracks and a full interview with lead guitarist Randy Russ.

3. Fleetwood Mac - The Alternative Fleetwood Mac (1975) Alternative versions of the classic 1975 album featuring the first appearance of Lyndsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

Northwich Guardian:

Originally released in 1975, Fleetwood Mac's self-titled release marked the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks into the band's line-up.

Earlier this year it was reissued deluxe edition, featuring previously unreleased alternate recordings.

Following the format of previous Fleetwood Mac RSD releases (for Tusk, Mirage and Tango In The Night), this RSD release is a 1LP album of alternate takes mirroring the original album, from the "Fleetwood Mac" deluxe edition.

Alternate takes include early versions of "Monday Morning", "Landslide", "Rhiannon" and "World Turning" on vinyl for the first time.

4. Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - The Message (1982) Commemorating 40 years of Sugar Hill Records. 180g ‘SugarHill Blue’ Vinyl

Northwich Guardian:

Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's debut studio album was released on Sugar Hill Records in October 1982 and is widely regarded as one of the most influential hip hop records of all time.

The title track, seen as an offshoot of funk upon its release, has since been credited with re-calibrating the direction of hip hop and was hailed the Number 1 greatest hip hop song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

This limited expanded edition features bonus tracks and instrumentals pressed on 180g Sugar Hill Blue vinyl and also commemorates the 40th Anniversary of Sugarhill Records.

8. Supergrass - Pumping On Your Stereo / Mary (1999) 10” Double A-Side picture disc, featuring HD pictures from the respective music videos.

Northwich Guardian:

This limited edition bespoke 10" AA side picture disc single has been pressed to commemorate the 20th anniversary.

9. Twink - Think Pink. (1969)

Northwich Guardian:

Recorded in London in July 1969, produced by the renowned Mick Farren and featuring members of Tomorrow, the Pretty Things, the Deviants, Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Pink Fairies, the legendary THINK PINK is one of the hallowed relics of British underground rock.

Sunbeam presents it here in both its strikingly different mixes for the first time. The mono mix was intended to appear in Decca’s Nova series in early 1970, but that release was cancelled, with the stereo mix finally creeping out on Polydor in early 1971.

Assembled with the full participation of John ‘Twink’ Alder, this deluxe set comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes a reproduction of the original lyric sheet as well as a large-format colour booklet telling the full story behind its creation.

In addition, each copy contains a certificate hand-signed by the legendary Twink, with whose full participation the set has been assembled.
