SHOPPERS and staff at Morrisons stores in Winsford and Middlewich have helped raise thousands of pounds for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal.
The terminal illness charity’s fundraising appeal which is held every March, calls on people to donate and wear one of the charity’s daffodil pins to help fund vital care and support for people living with a terminal illness.
Katy Armitage, Marie Curie community fundraiser in Winsford and Middlewich said: “We are so grateful for the amazing support from all the staff, shoppers and volunteers at Morrisons.
“Their generosity means we raised a fantastic amount and more people are wearing daffodils. Too many people don’t get the care and support they need at the end of their lives, but together we can change that.”
“Collections held at Morrisons Winsford and Middlewich stores from 28th February to 2nd March raised over £2,650 and the money raised will enable Marie Curie to care for more people living with a terminal illness, and their families.”
