THE Middlewich Heritage Trust is looking for volunteers for a number of projects over the next few months.
One of the priorities of the heritage trust is the preservation of the brine pumps both for the community and as an educational resource.
The Murgatroyd Brine Pumps are the only remaining pumps in the UK.
Kerry Kirwan, heritage development officer said: “We are going to need volunteers through May, June July and possibly August.
“We are aiming to start the volunteer work on April 24.”
The available volunteer roles are for general maintenance, landscaping and gardening, website and public relations support, interpretation support and guides and stewards.
Anyone who would like to help should contact Kerry Kirwan on 01606 833 434 or email heritage@middlewich.org
