The fire was reported at 10.30pm
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in a commerical property in Brooks Lane at 10.30pm last night.
One fire engine from Middlewich and another from Winsford attended.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "At around 10.30pm firefighters were called to a report of a fire on Brooks Lane in Middlewich.
"On arrival at the overhead line, underground utility contractor premises crews discovered that it was a case of controlled burning.
"Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet, as it had got out of control.
"They were in attendance for around 45 minutes."
