Firefighters were there for around 30 minutes
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a grass fire in Wharton Road yesterday at 16.55pm.
One fire engine from Winsford was at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Winsford firefighters used water backpack to extinguish a small grass fire behind the Red Lion in Wharton.
"The team were in attendance at the scene for around 30 minutes."
