THE nationally renowned Mikron Theatre Company is joining in this year’s Winsford Salt Fair celebrations with the performance of their new play All Hands on Deck.

Billed as a tale of two wrens, the drama on the high seas captures a love story between the Royal Navy and their loyal ‘Jenny Wrens’.

New WRNS recruits Ginger and Lily are looking for wartime adventure. Lily wants to serve on dry land but Ginger is desperate to serve at sea and the sailors can’t believe their luck!

The show pays tribute to all those wartime women who pushed the door to opportunity firmly open and is full of dots, dashes, semaphore and song.

Ginger and Lily find themselves in uncharted waters on a journey they’ll never forget.

The performance will be staged at Winsford Academy at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 20,

Town clerk Mark Bailey said: "We’re delighted to be welcoming Mikron to Winsford as part of the new look Salt Fair programme for 2019. It promises to be a great evening."

Tickets priced £12, £10 concessions are available from Winsford Town Council on 01606 593582, by emailing mail@winsford.gov.uk or online at winsford.gov.uk/mikron.
